Bastian Schweinsteiger could miss Euro 2016 and rest of season
The Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has torn his right knee’s medial collateral ligament while training with the national Germany team.

While preparing for the upcoming International friendly against England, Bastian Schweinsteiger has suffered from a partial tear of his right knee’s medial collateral ligament. The injury could rule him out for the rest of the season of Manchester United and even Euro 2016.
German’s national football governing body, The DFB announced that Bastian Schweinsteiger has torn his medial collateral ligament of his right knee. After the announcement, Schweinsteiger flew off to Munich to take MRI scan.
DFB made an official announcement, “World Cup winner Schweinsteiger sustained the injury to his right knee on Tuesday afternoon toward the end of the training session.”
The 31 year old German captain has struggled for fitness the entire 2015-16 season. His move from Bayern Munich to Manchester United has mixed reviews as Schweinsteiger struggles to display his potential for the new club. Schweinsteiger was brought to bring some stability to the struggling Manchester United team and to establish some command in the lack lusture midfield. However, the German legend couldn’t prove to be the saviour of United with age on the negative side and struggling with form and fitnees.
Bastian Schweinsteiger who just returned from knee injury suffered on 9 January,2016. He had a pretty sketchy United season as he also suffered a groin problem in October. Bastian Schweinsteiger suffered a knock in pre-season tour too and he couldn’t play in the first three matches of Manchester United season due to less match fitness.
Germany suffers a double blow as Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil also remained absent from the training season. Ozil suffered a knock in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Everton at Goodinson Park. He didn’t attend the national team training session with reports of ankel problem but is expected to get back in Arsena’l next match.
